Meghan Horihan
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ADULT SERVICES

Meghan Horihan is the Associate Director of Adult services who works with GoldStar clients ages 18 and up to help them find a meaningful life path while supporting individuals to pursue their own purpose. Meghan firmly believes that GoldStar provides a place for individuals to be confident in their own abilities while providing the support for continued progress towards independence. Meghan has empowered individuals to find meaningful employment, while also working with the community to realize the competitive advantage of neurodiversity within the workforce. Meghan graduated with a degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  She enjoys watching the Green Bay Packers and finding new adventures. Through her work she hopes to identify and eliminate barriers that hinder a fully inclusive community. 

Heather Mazzuca
MANAGER OF ADULT OPERATIONS

Heather is the Manager of Adult Operations with GoldStar Learning Options. Working with adults with Developmental Disabilities became a newfound passion when she started working for GoldStar with no previous experience in the field. Heather began as a full-time Direct Care staff in our Adult Day Program. She has worked her way in the direction of billing and supporting our adult participants ensuring they have the funding they need to work towards a more independent and purposeful life. Heather loves spending time with her 2 doggos, no matter what the activity! Heather is committed to helping all adult participants at GoldStar reach their fullest potential while learning through real life experiences. 

McKenzie Uhlemann
LWP DIRECT CARE SUPERVISOR

McKenzie is a Direct Care Supervisor of the Living with Purpose(LWP) adult program. She believes that the adults she works with deserve ongoing support and respect in a space that fully embraces both their challenges and successes. In 2014, while finishing college, she began working with adults within this population. Knowing this was her true calling, McKenzie graduated from CSU with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies. She worked with adults in a day program in the Fort Collins, CO until December 2016. It was then she began working with GoldStar in direct care and as a behavioral services therapist. In 2017, she became the supervisor of the LWP program. McKenzie is now a certified RBT, creating the best supports possible for LWP participants. She is excited for the growth and potential of the LWP program, the future of the participants and, the company’s investment in supporting and advocating the adults to achieve their highest potential. On her off time, McKenzie enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and going to concerts around Denver.

Chelsea Turco
MANAGER OF ADULT PROGRAM

Chelsea is currently the manager in our adult program, LWP.  She gravitated towards this field because of the unique joy that each client brings to every day.  Getting to know the individual pieces of the participants is always different and always rewarding.  Chelsea has worked in the field for 15 years, first in an elementary program for students with autism and then, providing in home services.  She is currently in a behavioral science program and pursuing her BCaBA.  She has three children, and her middle son has received disability services for most of his life.  She knows how important it is to love and trust the people who are caring for your loved ones and is excited to be a part of GoldStar and help have an impact on families’ lives.
